Frequently asked questions
What is BrainCard?
BrainCard is a study app. You import a course (text, PDF, photo, audio recording, web page) and the AI turns it into flashcards, a summary sheet and a multiple-choice quiz. BrainCard then has you review each card just before you forget it, using the FSRS spaced repetition algorithm.
Is BrainCard free?
Yes: creating cards, reviewing, taking tests and playing the memory games is free and unlimited. The AI features are included in the Essential (€3.49 per month), Plus (€4.99) and Prep (€9.99) plans, with no commitment.
How is BrainCard different from Quizlet or Anki?
BrainCard combines the simplicity of Quizlet-style cards with the effectiveness of Anki’s spaced repetition, plus an AI that creates the cards for you from your own courses. You can even import your existing Anki decks.
What kind of studies is BrainCard for?
For anyone with a lot to remember: high school, medical school, law, languages, preparatory classes, competitive exams and university. Quizzes can follow the competitive exam format, with several correct answers.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. BrainCard runs in the browser on computer, tablet and phone, and can be installed like an app. Daily reminders help you keep your streak.
