Spaced repetition, for long-term memory
We forget half of what we learn within a few days. Spaced repetition reverses the trend: reviewing an idea at the right moment fixes it for weeks, then months.
How it works
After each card, you say whether it was “Again”, “Hard”, “Good” or “Easy”. BrainCard then works out the best moment to show it to you again.
FSRS, tailored to you
BrainCard uses FSRS, a modern algorithm that adapts to your own memory as you review. You can set the target success rate to match your goals.
Less time, more memories
You only review what needs it, every day. A daily streak, a goal and reminders help you keep the pace until the exam.
Frequently asked questions
How long should I study each day?
Ten to twenty minutes is often enough. BrainCard limits the number of new cards per day so the workload stays reasonable.
Can I import my Anki cards?
Yes, Anki decks (.apkg) import with their cards and images.
